This page describes what EINHORN_INDUSTRIAL collects across okemily.com and the services linked from it — the mailing list signup, the developer portal (Google sign-in and local accounts), and the operational security logs that keep those systems safe. Version 1 of this policy only covered the mailing list; this version widens the scope to the rest of what's live today, without changing how the mailing-list section itself works.
The pages of okemily.com you can read without signing in (this page, the homepage, the blog, the TYLER reading room, game/project pages) don't use tracking cookies or analytics scripts. We don't know who's reading them beyond what's in ordinary web server access logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp), which we keep only as long as needed for security and abuse investigation, then discard.
We do not collect names, phone numbers, or any other personal data through this form. Your email address is encrypted before it is ever written to disk, using a passphrase held only by a human operator, never stored on the server itself — it is never held in plaintext at rest, under any circumstance. We use Mailchimp to send email updates. When you subscribe, Mailchimp sends you a confirmation email — you are not actually subscribed to receive anything until you click that link (double opt-in). Mailchimp acts as our data processor for the purpose of sending email; their own privacy practices are at mailchimp.com/legal/privacy. We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe via Mailchimp's link (in any email we send) or ask us directly, we remove it from both Mailchimp and our own records.
Signing in to the developer portal (/portal/login) works one of two ways:
Either way, we use this only to run the portal itself: knowing who's signed in, and what they're allowed to do there.
To keep the developer portal, admin tools, and API safe, we log security-relevant events: sign-in attempts (success or failure), account suspensions, and similar administrative actions. These records include an event type, a timestamp, and identifying information relevant to that event (such as the email or account name involved) — never a password or a secret credential value. These logs exist to detect and investigate abuse, unauthorized access, and operational problems; they aren't used for marketing, and they aren't sold or shared with anyone outside EINHORN_INDUSTRIAL.
Our community Minecraft server and other game services process the account identifiers those platforms provide (for example, a Minecraft username/UUID) and normal gameplay/chat data needed to run the server, consistent with that platform's own terms. We don't link this to your email address unless you've separately given us both (for example, by also signing up for the mailing list).
Beyond what's already named above (Mailchimp for email delivery, Google for sign-in), we don't sell your personal data or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data at any time by emailing emilyspringerton@gmail.com. We'll act on deletion requests promptly, other than security logs we're required to keep briefly for abuse investigation, which age out on their own.
Our services aren't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
If we materially change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update the version number at the top of this page and note the change. Your consent record always reflects the exact version you agreed to at signup, not whatever's current later.
